The Learning and Development Specialist - Instructor for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the instruction of new commercial team member’s onboarding, knowledge sustainment, field auditing/mentoring, new product introduction and other training demands. This position is part of the Global Sales Enablement and Operations Team located in North America and will be fully remote based in the U.S. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. You will be a part of the Global Commercial Training Team and report to the Regional Learning and Development Manager – Americas (Interim reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Commercial Training), responsible for instruction of new commercial team member’s onboarding, knowledge sustainment, field auditing/mentoring, new product introduction and other training demands. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Conduct live, instructor-led trainings, or virtual and remote learning, for our commercial teams within the region specified, or if requested by leadership, assistance in other regions. + Focus on delivering quality content and experiences within the given vertical specificity- this role will lean heavily toward the Immunohistochemistry business vertical (IHC) but can also have opportunity to assist in other LBS business verticals + Liase with sales and sales leadership to assess training needs— developing an implementation plan with their region manager, and then facilitate learning/training initiatives. + Supports special projects such as focused product launches, sales meetings, ad hoc programs. + Live at Gemba (in field) acting as a field coach and auditor for our commercial sales team The essential requirements of the job include: + BS in Biology or related sciences, and/or certifications within the Anatomical Pathology space if coming from the AP laboratory + Minimum of 7 years of combined experience within the Anatomical Pathology labs and/or commercial markets with a strong foundation of knowledge to share + Minimum of 3 years' experience being a mentor/coach/manager during your career for a laboratory or commercial team member in the Anatomical Pathology space + At least 3 years of practical experience utilizing anatomical pathology equipment (Leica or competitor), with experience in teaching others how to use Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to travel - At least 50% travel within the Americas, primarily within N. America. Occasional international travel for group meetings or training events + Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record + Ability to lift, move or carry items up to 20lbs, and arrange training rooms (tables/easels etc.) for sessions if necessary. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Multi-language an added plus (one or more of the following – Spanish, Portuguese, French – written and spoken) + Course facilitation practices to maximize adult learning and retention + Familiarity with adult learning models/concepts a plus + Experience with video/e-learning content design a plus At Leica Biosystems we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. The salary range for this role is $112,000 to $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
