Learning Architect & Instructional Design Manager (Hybrid)
Location: Columbus, OhioJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $80 - 90 per hourOn behalf of our financial services client, we are seeking an experienced Learning Architect & Instructional Design Manager with 8+ years of management-level experience in learning strategy, instructional design, and curriculum development. This role is critical in designing and delivering high-impact training solutions that align with business objectives and drive employee performance.The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership background, working with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and senior stakeholders to develop innovative learning programs. This position requires expertise in learning architecture, instructional design methodologies, and digital learning technologies to enhance and optimize training initiatives across the organization.Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of learning strategies, instructional frameworks, and training materials to drive employee development. Oversee the design of engaging, learner-centric content leveraging instructional design best practices, adult learning principles, and cutting-edge learning technologies. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and SMEs to assess training needs, define learning objectives, and create customized learning solutions. Manage and optimize learning technologies (e.g., LMS, e-learning platforms, authoring tools) to enhance digital and hybrid training experiences. Evaluate and measure the impact of training programs, leveraging data-driven insights to refine and improve learning initiatives. Ensure compliance with learning standards while incorporating accessibility, inclusivity, and best practices in all training materials. Lead and manage instructional design projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and business goals are met. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in a management-level role within instructional design, learning architecture, or corporate training. Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and curriculum development at an enterprise level. Proficiency in e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) and LMS platforms. Strong background in hybrid and in-person training design with a deep understanding of digital learning solutions. Knowledge of emerging learning technologies, including AI-driven learning, gamification, and virtual learning experiences. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Strong project management expertise, ensuring seamless execution of instructional design initiatives. Skills: Work Environment & Schedule Hybrid role based in Columbus, OH, transitioning to 5 days a week in-office. Initial contract duration of 12 months, with potential extensions up to 18 months.
