Become a Learning & Development Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll consult across the enterprise with Organizational Unit leaders, subject matter experts and Human Resource partners to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs across the enterprise. Create program evaluation strategies and measurement plans. Define performance expectations, evaluation methods, processes, and data collection approaches. Analyze complex data and make recommendations aligned to support current and future strategic initiatives. Translate evaluation and operational performance data from a variety of sources into clear narratives about program success.. Responsibilities Consults and coaches team leads on talent development, team engagement, retention, and team leadership Delivers internal training sessions and preparation of training materials Creates learning resources that employees want to engage with, including presentation decks, knowledge resources, and more Manages the day-to-day delivery of learning and development activities in an area of expertise Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders within and across different functions to advance learning resource development initiatives Carries out regular analysis of learning and development activity to inform new solutions Implements learning and development activities and programs as needed for company needs Assesses the effectiveness of development projects using defined metrics and reporting methods that demonstrate their impact A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Seven or more years of experience in curriculum and instructional design as well as implementation and management of training programs, and learning initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Seven years of combined experience in learning and development or training including instructional design and creating learning objectives using the S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time Bound) goal model? Five or more years' experience developing company-wide learning measurement strategies that help drive performance. Experience developing and implementing evaluation methodologies (e.g., questionnaires, focus groups, observations, interviews) Experience developing questionnaires with survey tools (e.g., Alchemer, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics). Experience creating reports and dashboards using applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Strong presentation and writing skills with experience communicating complex and technical information in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with root cause analysis and performance improvement. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or other related discipline. Experience developing company-wide measurement strategies that help drive performance. Knowledge of SuccessFactors Learning (LMS). Experience with change management and calculating return on investment (ROI).
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
