This position reports to the Chief Knowledge Officer and is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance employee skills and contribute to organizational growth. This role involves content creation, developing and delivering educational content, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. The specialist collaborates with various departments to align training with business objectives and manages learning technologies. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, the Learning and Development Specialist helps improve employee performance, growth, engagement, and retention.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Learning and Development Specialist at Woolpert, you will:
Create and design training programs and materials that address identified needs, align with organizational goals, and accommodate to different learning styles. Research and design content for learning and development programs, trainings, and learning experiences for various employee classifications and roles.Utilize and manage learning management systems (LMS) and other technologies to deliver and track training programs.Partner with various leaders, including Human Resources, C-Suite, and People Managers on learning and development solutions and needs.Support compliance training by working with other departments’ knowledge experts in designing content for training and/or converting content into learner-friendly eLearning modules.Seek input from and provides feedback to learners to aid with knowledge transfer and behavior change, in addition to leaders on the success of learners and learning programs. Measure the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to ensure they meet the desired objectives.May facilitate training sessions or workshops, both in-person and virtually, to ensure effective learning outcomes. Creates and provides classroom handouts, instructional materials, and manuals. Perform all administrative duties including preparation, schedule administration, and participant record maintenance (e.g., evaluations and attendance). Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2-5 years of experience in content creation and training
Excellent communication skills
Familiar with the AE or AEC environment- preferred
Familiarity with adult learning theory and practices
