Location; Newburgh, NY
Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p (Other hours as required)
Salary: $60,500/yr
Frequent Travel required and reimbursed according to company policy
OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
+ Conducts fidelity integration of all trainings mandated by OPWDD
+ Assists with onboarding employees as part of the Learning and Development team
+ Works as part of an interdisciplinary team to identify emerging trends in trainings in their field
+ Develops new trainings as needed to follow industry trends and standards
+ Partners with program leaders to ensure competency and integration of trainings from the classroom to the workplace
+ Partners with the Learning and Development team to ensure that an adequate number of trainings are available to ensure compliance to regulations and requirements
+ Ensures agency quality and philosophical standards are met in training
+ Provides direct supervision to L&D Trainer & Per-Diem Trainer(s)
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES :
+ Ability to engage with learners with high energy and a creative style
+ Knowledge of instructional design principles, particularly with adult and experiential learning models
+ Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
+ Resourceful, flexible and able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
+ Able to communicate effectively
+ Able to facilitate classes (both virtual and in-person) in both a competent and engaging manner
+ Able to quickly adjust schedule based on need
+ Technical skills- Microsoft Office
+ Computer skills not listed above. Knowledge of regulations, laws, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Experience using a Learning Management System such as Cornerstone
+ Must be knowledgeable in the following disciplines:
+ DSP Core Competencies
+ Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention Revised (SCIP-R)
+ CQL Personal Outcome Measures (POMS)
+ First Aid, CPR & AED
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS :
+ Must be capable of standing for long-periods of time
+ May be subjected to long-periods of sitting or standing
+ Able to work in open space floor plan
+ Work alongside co-workers within 6 feet
+ Occasional lifting of > 25 pounds
