The LMS Site Administrator is responsible for managing Steel Dynamics’ Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle Workplace site, tailoring it to align with the company’s training objectives and user needs.

Responsibilities Design course structures and learning pathsCreate user accounts and manage access levelsExperience integrating the LMS with other systemsUpload and manage course materials, including videos, documents, and assessmentsEnsure content accessibility and qualityTroubleshoot learner issues with the LMS platformProvide training and guidance to users on LMS featuresAnswer user inquiries related to course navigation and functionalityTrack learner progress and generate reports on course completion ratesAnalyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the LMSConfigure the LMS platform § Monitor system performance and address technical issuesStay current with LMS features and functionalitiesPartner with internal and external customers to identify, plan, create, test, support, and maintain effective and innovative learning opportunities (e.g., e-learning, web-based learning, mobile application, podcasting, virtual classroom, videos, tutorials, etc.)Convert instructor-led training (ILT) to e-learning based content Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Learning Technologies, or degree in any other relevant fieldProficiency with LMS Platforms § Ability to help diagnose and resolve issues related to the LMSEffective communication with both technical and non-technical users to provide support and trainingAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectivelyEnsure accuracy in user data, course content, and system configurationProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePointEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use sound judgmentSelf-starter with a willingness to take initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision to bring projects to completionFlexibility to work extra hours, as needed

Preferred

Experience with Moodle or Moodle Workplace
