Duties and Responsibilities: Provide academic support and monitoring of all, at-risk, student athletes. Work in conjunction with academic advisor/s, academic coordinator/s, support staff, and graduate student employees to ensure consistent communication and grade reporting to on-campus stakeholders. Conduct training for CRLA certification of academic mentors. Oversee objective-based component of study table program.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of employment. At least one year of experience in education or related area. •Superior interpersonal and organizational skills. •Strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. •Proficiency with Microsoft Software. •Ability, and motivation to learn other software. •Ability and willingness to be flexible with work schedule with possible nights and weekends required.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. •Experience in peer tutoring or mentoring •Developmental education. •Experience with assessment of academic preparedness. •Experience working with at-risk students at a collegiate level, preferably in an intercollegiate athletics environment. •Experience with NCAA continuing eligibility. •Counseling skills and knowledge of learning styles. •Knowledge of Banner, DegreeWorks, ARMS, and/or GradesFirst.
