A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M College of Dentistry (https://dentistry.tamu.edu/index.html) in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. What we want
The College of Dentistry is looking for a Learning Technology Coordinator to serve in the Office of Academic Affairs providing technical support for our educational mission, including classroom support; assessment support and analysis; student and faculty support related to teaching and assessment; and support for distance education. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. What you need to know
Proposed Minimum Salary: starting at $50,000.00 annually (Commensurate to selected hire's qualifications)
Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Two years of relevant experience in academia supporting educational or instructional technology
Preferred Qualifications
+ Four years of experience with one of the three leading Learning Management Systems: Blackboard Learn/Ultra, Canvas, and/or Brightspace D2L
+ Two years of experience working with a major technology such as Zoom, WebEx, Collaborate Ultra, or comparable web conferencing system
+ Two years of experience with proctoring and troubleshooting online exam software (HESI, Examsoft, Examity, APEA, and other comparable products).
+ Experience in higher education
+ Strong presentation skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
+ Knowledge of multi-media and software or related programs
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Responsibilities
+ Academic Technology Support: Provides technical support and training for academic technology software and systems. Serves as a point of contact to orient faculty and students to local campus resources. Coordinates computer-based testing technology support for faculty and students. Provides guidance for faculty and/or staff on emerging or new technologies related to instruction. Maintains and troubleshoots audio-visual technology equipment. Conducts or assists with training workshops and seminars on use of course management technology. Develops and updates tutorials and online resources. Serves as a proctor during examinations/assessments.
+ Device Management: Organizes and oversees loaner IT device program for the Office of Academic Affairs, ensuring to maintain compliance with Texas A&M Health IT device policies. Make recommendations on new device acquisitions. Create and manage IT device replacement schedule.
+ Quality Assessment: Manages and evaluates student “technology chair” activities and processes. Monitors course development progress. Assists in assessing online course quality.
