Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Lease Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role, with some attendance required at a client’s office in the Melbourne CBD. If you have a strong background in lease administration, stakeholder management, and exposure to client-facing responsibilities, we want to hear from you!

Reporting to the Head of Lease Administration – ANZ, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our clients’ lease portfolios, providing day-to-day lease advice, and ensuring seamless lease management operations. You will also collaborate closely with Account Directors, Transaction Managers, and Facility Managers to support integrated portfolio management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Prepare WIP and Debtors reports with relevant commentary.

Liaise with clients, landlords, agents, tenants, solicitors, and other property professionals.

Review and approve lease obligations, manage multiple monthly rent rolls, handle lease billings and outgoings budgets and reconciliations.

Ensure lease obligations and compliance requirements are met, consult with solicitors on lease documentation, and conduct quality reviews of lease abstractions.

Manage site renewals, lease surrenders, and new revenue tenant documentation.

Assist with annual client budget preparation, facilitate utility connections, and address escalations.

Serve as a primary contact for one or more client groups, providing expert lease advice and ensuring smooth lease management operations.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in property/lease management, with exposure to lease databases and reporting systems.

Strong ability to act on client instructions, negotiate outcomes, and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders.

Proficiency in lease document administration, financial acumen, and compliance management.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Real Estate, Business, or Finance, or an Estate Agent’s License/Agent’s Representative certification.
