Leasing Associate

Corcoran New Development had an outstanding year in 2023, introducing some of NYC’s highest-profile and significant developments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. We have ambitious plans for 2024, including expanding our coverage in NYC with several new construction properties scheduled to open throughout the city. Our division is set to be one of the only groups in the industry with projects in all five New York boroughs as well as New Jersey.  We have an open position for a Leasing Associate at one of our major new development projects in Manhattan.  Weekend availability is a must.  Apply now to join our dynamic team!

Core Duties:

Respond to daily inquiries and schedule property tours for interested prospects. Provide overviews for all general inquiries that come into the leasing office. Conduct property and residence tours with compelling presentations tailored to prospects' needs, values, and concerns. Follow up on questions, concerns, and requests from prospects or their agents, ensuring all leads are actively pursued. Provide clear and easy-to-follow application instructions on the leasing and approval process to prospects. Develop monthly rental rate and concession reports for the property’s competitive set. Handle and maintain property pricing grids and inventory. Assist in running concise daily and weekly leasing traffic reports for both the developer and Corcoran teams. Negotiate rental terms when needed and facilitate the lease signing process for each residence rented. Interact daily with new development management regarding customer and property feedback. Update property advertising. Assist in creating property condition feedback reports and comparable reports. Provide leasing and administrative support to the Leasing Director daily. Develop relationships with local brokerage firms to increase outside brokerage activity at the property. Work under the direct guidance of the Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director of New Development rentals daily.

Job Requirements:

Valid NYS Real Estate Salesperson or NYS Associate Broker License required. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Real Estate brokerage, with at least 1 year in new development marketing or onsite leasing. Strong ability to interact successfully with potential residents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing market conditions, building construction conditions, timelines, and inventory fluctuations. Meticulous with excellent organizational skills. Ability to succeed and collaborate in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with On-site.com tenant screening software.
