\n\t\t\t\t\tJob Summary: \nThe Benefits and Leave Administrator position is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of Group Benefits & Leave programs (group health, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, state leaves, etc.).\nThis role administers and maintains company benefits programs. Informs and advises employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage and provisions. This position provided excellent customer service and will be instrumental in ensuring compliance. Will also compile and maintain benefits records and documentation in adherence of the law. May assist with special projects within the benefits area.\n*Will work in tandem with BROKER to investigate new benefits programs, improve existing programs, by monitoring the benefits and leave administration and/or participate in a broker RFP process. \nDuties/Responsibilities:\n•\tPartner with BROKER to understand company benefits plans.\n•\tPartner with BROKER to troubleshoot any/all challenges and issues with implementation of plans, plan design and coverage. \n•\tServe as primary company contact for employees, broker, plan vendors and third-party administrators. \n•\tPartner with BROKER and payroll to coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration. \n•\tEvaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. \n•\tDocument and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. \n•\tEnsure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.\n•\tSupport payroll in the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans. \n•\tProvide customer service support to internal and external customers. Work with brokers to develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package. \n•\tDistribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to employees.\n•\tCommunicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.\n•\tSupports the leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work.\n•\tAdvises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers’ compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.\n•\tOversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers’ compensation, or other leave(s).\n•\tFacilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.\n•\tMaintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.\n•\tPerforms other related duties as assigned.

\n\t\t\t\t\tKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage benefits and leave for approximately 250 employees.\nHandle and support employees going on leave, with an expected 10 people going on leave next year.\nSolve problems related to benefits with brokerage and run open enrollment.\nProvide support to out-of-state employees and manage a handful of cases at a time.\nBe resourceful in finding answers and solutions to HR-related queries.\nCollaborate with the HR team to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication.\nUnderstand and apply FMLA and OFLA regulations.\nUtilize HRIS systems effectively; experience with HRIS is a plus.\nSupport manufacturing/production environments; experience in this area is a big plus.\nCommunicate effectively in a bilingual environment.\nQualifications:\n\n2-3 years of general HR experience, with at least 1 year in benefits and leave management.\nExperience in managing benefits and leave for a mid-sized company.\nKnowledge of FMLA and OFLA regulations.\nHRIS background is helpful.\nSHRM certification is a nice-to-have.\nAbility to work fully on-site, part-time (3 days a week, 24 hours).\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.\nManufacturing/production experience is a big plus.\nBilingual skills are highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
