Leave Coordinator
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Leave Coordinator in Keizer, Oregon. The Leave Coordinator will be an integral part of our team, providing vital human resource services and acting as a resource for staff members. This role will involve a range of responsibilities including technical and administrative support for HR, maintaining our human resource information system, and assisting in determining candidate/employee suitability. Responsibilities: • Serve as an HR resource, offering guidance and recommendations on best practices, policies, and procedures • Support managers and their teams, providing knowledge and skills necessary for effective HR practices • Assist in the recruitment process, collaborating with managers to identify and address organizational needs • Administer employee leave in accordance with state and federal laws, ensuring compliance and reducing agency risk • Oversee the interactive process for ADA Accommodations requests, providing expertise and ensuring adherence to regulations • Investigate employee-performance issues, communicating HR policies and procedures clearly to staff members • Maintain an understanding of regulations related to the Family and Medical Leave Act, Oregon Family Medical Leave Act, Paid Leave Oregon, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Equal Employment Opportunity laws • Develop and maintain HR electronic and paper forms, databases, and spreadsheet applications as necessary • Coordinate with fiscal services staff regarding payroll changes and generate personnel action forms • Process background checks according to state law and agency policy, determining suitability for permanent position or promotion.
