Leave of Absence Case Manager
Responsible for providing support on all aspects of leave, accommodation and modified duty programs while ensuring compliance with related leave and disability laws including pregnancy disability leave, family and medical leave, fair employment laws, and other related federal and/or state regulations. Acts as the liaison between the employees and management. Partners with other members of the various departments to provide guidance and customer service to employees and managers regarding the leave process. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Coordinates various programs during the employee leave process including company-provided STD, LTD, and Paid Parental Leave as well as locally mandated programs. 2. Manages assigned cases through the life cycle of the employees especially for maternity and paternity cases as their point of contact case manager. 3. Manages cases through CRM, throughout the leave life cycle from the beginning through return to work. 4. Maintains all leave tasks and tool accuracy for leaves throughout the process. 5. Ensures accuracy of data in the leave management tools and makes adjustments as required. 6. Proactively assists employee through their leave of absence confirming all data points. 7. Follows CVCSL Maternity/ Paternity guidelines and state and federal laws pertaining to the same. Collaborates with the various stakeholders in the leave process such as HR Business Partners, managers, and Payroll and Legal teams etc. 8. Proactively maintains contact with the assigned employees via e-mails, phone. 9. Respond to employee questions and inquiries. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Relevant Experience 1. 4 years of experience in Human Resources in a leave management or generalist related position, with three (3) years of experience in leave of absence administration preferred 2. Strong knowledge of federal and state leave regulations including FMLA, ADA/FEHA, and HIPAA. 3. General understanding of employee benefits as they relate to leave of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, state disability pay etc. 4. Experience working in a Healthcare environment and/or with a high volume of leave management responsibilities. 5. Experience with workforce management solutions or leave case management software.
