Description
As our Leave of Absence Manager, you will serve as team co-leader overseeing all activities and cases assigned to the LOA Team. In this role, you will manage assigned case files and coordinate leaves of absence such as FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Workers' Comp, Military Leaves, etc., for employees served by UCLA Medical Center HR. You will communicate with employees and supervisors on appropriate leave types and determines leave qualification and eligibility accordingly.
You will Provides day-to-day guidance to the LOA Analysts and lead the team by example. You will also facilitate education workshops for managers and employees. You will also be responsible for engaging, motivating and overseeing
the performance of the team and the subsequent outcomes.
Salary Range: $102,500 to $227,700 Annually
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, social sciences, or related field preferred
* 3+ years as a disability management supervisor within a large complex organization
* 5 years of leave management experience, inclusive of the application of collective bargaining agreements, case law, directives, policies, and legislation
* Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
* Ability to ask thoughtful questions to understand past precedents and practices
* Proven relationship management skills required to partner with staff at all levels of the organization effectively
