What this job involves
The Leaves Manager is responsible for leading a team of Leave Specialists, ensuring the resolution of complex employee leaves matters, leaves management issues, leaves policy interpretation, adherence and administration, accommodations related to leaves and partnership in resolving employee complaints and/or conflicts related to leaves. The Leaves Manager participates in cross functional work with other HR teams and the business supporting leaves matters as needed and has high interaction with the Leaves vendor, Benefits, Payroll and Legal teams. The Leaves Manager is responsible for the identification and enhancement of inefficiencies and optimization of the Leaves area, working across HR. The Leaves Manager also supports Employee Relations as needed for case support, coverage and management.
Direct and assign tasks to Leaves Specialists and optimize use of resources to enhance productivity.Resolve highly complex Leave cases / problems by applying relevant policies, past practices and/or best practices to reach a conclusion.Provide guidance and decision making in partnership with Benefits, Payroll and Legal teams on the highest risk and most complex issues.Provide consultation, guidance and coaching to leaders and HR Business Partners on high risk/complex leave and employee relations related issues, considering employee needs and commercial sensibility.Provide consultation with respect to leaves, reasonable accommodations, termination requests, reduction in force and other related areas as needed.Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints as needed.Identify, recommend and oversee implementation of appropriate actions to resolve employee concerns.Provide guidance, support and training to HRBPs, managers and employees on employee relations and leave issues.Embed a data-driven capability to support routine reporting and optimize vendor and internal performance.Utilize data to identify trends and risk to recommend proactive solutions, training and/or education.Maintain appropriate records of leaves and routinely report on leave activities and KPIs.Provide direction to Leaves Specialists regarding case management and data entry.Sound like you?
