Leave Specialist/Human Resources/Days/Full-Time
Overview Leave Specialist is responsible for providing a wide variety of Human Resources customer service and technical support to Shands HealthCare employees with specific emphasis on leave management. Provides comprehensive employee leave and benefits customer service to Shands HealthCare employees by answering questions, coordinating processes, educating and counseling employees on leave of absence policies and procedures, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA). Maintains employee leave and benefits data and performs activities in support of HR processes. Provides information about leave and benefit plan products and services to all customers. Educates customers in all leave and benefits and other HR-related processes information about benefit plan products and services to all customers. Educates customers in all benefits and other HR-related processes. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: High school diploma or equivalent; college level coursework preferred. 3 years direct customer service experience, preferably in Human Resources, leave, benefits, or insurance industry. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Experience in PeopleSoft is preferred. This position requires a high level of detail, time management and organizational skills. Leave Specialist (Leave Management): High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years direct customer service experience, preferably in Human Resources, benefits, or insurance industry Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose Licensure/Certification/ Registration: None
