The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education to teach and provide content expertise for programs in special education. Opportunities are available both on-grounds at the University of Virginia and online.
The successful candidate will possess a PhD in Education or Doctorate in Education specializing in Special Education or a related field. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Previous preK-12 or post-secondary education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
Positions will be filled on an on-going and as needed basis according to curriculum needs and appointments are typically for teaching a single course.
This is an at-will faculty wage position which does not carry benefits.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
