The successful candidate will teach courses in our first-year composition sequence and/or integrated reading and writing, and contribute to our composition program. Teaching load is 4/4.
Applicants must be able to teach in-person at the Huntsville campus. Educational Requirements for the Position A Master’s degree in English or a related field (such as writing studies, composition and rhetoric, or technical communication). Preference will be given to applicants with academic specialization in Composition or Writing Studies. Experience Required for the Position Successful applicants will have experience teaching First Year Composition with demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching effectiveness (e.g., formal student, peer, and/or chair evaluations). Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Writing Program curriculum development, faculty support, and/or writing assessment.
