Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job The Department of History at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin Fall 2025.

The teaching load is four courses per semester. Teaching responsibilities include both halves of the United States History Survey course. Based on departmental needs, the successful candidate may occasionally teach upper-division, undergraduate electives in their area(s) of specialization. The department is especially interested in candidates with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, in online and face-to-face modalities. Educational Requirements for the Position Ph.D. in History required prior to appointment.
