Brief DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging teaching in medical sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Develop and pursue an independent research program
- Contribute to curriculum development and implementation
- Participate in student assessment and academic support
- Engage in scholarly activities, research projects and research publications
- Contribute to departmental meetings and various departmental academic activities
- Seek research funding opportunities and collaborations
Experience and Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic setting
- Commitment to evidence-based practice
- Familiarity with contemporary teaching methods
- Potential to secure research funding
-Evidence of research potential through publications or conference presentations
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in medicine (MBBCh) and completion of internship and community service.
-Successful completion of additional degrees and/or of a postgraduate qualification in Health Sciences Education would be an advantage
-Previous teaching experience at a tertiary level
-Research and supervisory experience at a tertiary level
-Registration with professional council (where applicable)
-Clear vision for developing independent research
-Commitment to academic excellence and evidence of teaching small groups in medical and allied disciplines
