ROLE OVERVIEW
Goldman Sachs FICC Legal is looking for an attorney to provide legal coverage related to the trading and documentation of OTC foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives transactions and related financing transactions. The attorney will have primary responsibility for reviewing OTC derivatives documentation to ensure such derivatives meet expectations of applicable stakeholders related to collateral packages, commercial terms, industry standards, netting and collateral enforceability. Additional responsibilities will include analysis of regulations and related advocacy including working with industry groups on global regulatory changes affecting derivatives and other fixed income products. The attorney would be part of the global FICC Legal team which is part of the broader Global Banking & Markets Legal team and provides ongoing support on behalf of all of the trading, capital raising and other activities of Goldman Sachs’ Global Banking & Markets franchise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Documentation Reviews – Assist with (i) developing standard ISDA and other trading documentation language and addressing questions that arise under such documentation and (ii) reviewing M&A and financing documents for structured OTC swap transactions related to such documents and to assess the treatment of swaps under such documents.Regulatory Analysis and Compliance – Help analyze new and proposed rules and ensure that any derivative trades are in compliance with regulatory and capital rules Participation in Industry Groups – Attend industry group meetings and calls and participate in other advocacy efforts as appropriateQUALIFICATIONS:

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $170000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
