Learn more about the history of Leggett: https://leggett.com/history The Corporate Legal division of Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant Intern to assist our Legal team in day-to-day operational tasks located in Carthage, Missouri. The Corporate Legal team at Leggett & Platt plays a vital role in supporting and safeguarding our global organization. From corporate governance and intellectual property protection to contract management and regulatory oversight—our Legal team partners with stakeholders across all levels of the company to navigate complex challenges and capitalize on opportunities. As a Legal Admin Intern, you will provide critical administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of legal activities and processes. This role will report directly to our Legal Office Manager and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative and is a team player with amazing communication skills, and organizational excellence. We will focus on providing you with exposure to our internal team with networking opportunities the Doors Summer program. So, what will you be doing as a Legal Admin Intern? + Perform general office duties, such as but not limited to managing correspondence, maintaining accurate records and files, photocopying, data entry, maintenance of office and inventory, etc. + Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems in accordance with company policies. + Follow confidentiality protocols to protect sensitive information. + Support special projects and initiatives as directed by the legal team. + Prepare and edit correspondence, reports and presentations. + Assist with planning Legal Department team building activities. + Other duties as assigned. To be successful in this role, you’ll need: + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Ability to work at least 20 – 30 hours per week; specifically on Mondays and Fridays with schedule flexibility mid – week. + Strong written and verbal communication abilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) + Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. + Detail – oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. + Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
