Copeland is seeking a legal assistant to support litigation and claims matters handled by the legal department!

As a legal assistant, you will be integral to the success of our legal team and responsible for providing legal services to mitigate risk and resolve litigation and claims matters.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Matter intake and tracking using our enterprise legal management system.File, prioritize, and store legal documents.Report on litigation status and spend.Outside counsel coordination.Litigation budgeting and financial tracking.Investigate and coordinate responses to demand letters, subpoena requests, and dispute. communications.eDiscovery.Litigation holds.Document retention.

Who you are:

You have strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. You thrive in a collaborative environment and would enjoy working with members of the legal department, internal business colleagues, and outside counsel and experts to successfully resolve litigation and claims. You are detailed oriented but can easily distill and clearly communicate complex information in concise reports.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree in the law field.2 years of working experience.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Technical, analytic and project management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience in a litigation and/or claims support role.
