Alarm.com seeks a Legal Assistant to join its team. This person will work with the legal department and business teams across the company to provide administrative and project support on a wide range of legal matters. The legal team supports all aspects of the company’s business operations, including commercial relationships, intellectual property, employment, litigation, securities, financial reporting and strategic activities. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about learning new things and contributing to the growth of the department and the company as a whole.
As a Legal Assistant, you will be a key member of our team. A high level of professionalism, integrity, flexibility, and discretion in handling confidential information is critical.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the legal intake process, including triaging a high-volume of incoming emails using independent judgment to assign, track, and resolve a wide range of legal matters Supporting the full-cycle contract management process, including drafting, reviewing, facilitating approval and signature, uploading, and retrieving agreements Supporting the development and implementation of operational project and process improvement initiatives, policies, and procedures to support legal department and business Managing corporate records, compliance requirements, insurance policies, intellectual property portfolio, litigation support, SEC filings, and board documents Other legal and administrative matters.Requirements:
1-4+ years of experience in an administrative or paralegal role Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, high-pressure environment Strong multi-tasking skills Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills Proven organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Proactive team player who works independentlyPreferred Qualifications:
