Description We are seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to support our attorneys with case management, document preparation, and client intake. The ideal candidate will have experience handling intake and organizing family law documents as a Legal Assistant or Intake Specialist. This is an on-site, ongoing contract role with the possibility of becoming temp-to-perm (not guaranteed). Key Responsibilities: + Client Intake: Manage initial client communications, gather necessary information, and assist with onboarding. + Schedule Consultations: Coordinate and confirm appointments for potential and existing clients. + Legal Research: Conduct research to support attorneys in case preparation. + Maintain Case Files: Organize, update, and manage family law case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. + Document Preparation: Assist in drafting, formatting, and filing family law documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. + Court Filings: File documents electronically and in person as required. Requirements Qualifications: + At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or Intake Specialist in a family law firm. + Strong understanding of family law procedures, court rules, and filing requirements. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software. + Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. + Ability to work on-site and handle a fast-paced environment. + Experience with E-Filing in state courts is a plus.
