Legal Assistant
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant in Wellesley, Massachusetts. The role involves aiding in document management, scheduling, client communication, and more in our team. Although no specific practice experience is required, familiarity with estate planning, probate litigation, and general litigation would be advantageous. Responsibilities: • Assisting in managing and organizing documents • Handling client communication via email and other platforms • Scheduling appointments and meetings as required • Using Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and other case management software for various tasks • Utilizing CompuLaw for efficient case management • Managing billing functions to ensure accurate invoicing • Overseeing calendar management to keep track of important dates and deadlines • Administering claims as part of the broader legal process • Building and maintaining strong client relations • Ensuring clear and effective communication within and outside the team. Requirements • Proficiency in using Aderant, a comprehensive legal software. • Ability to utilize Adobe Acrobat for document creation and management. • Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for property records. • Experience in using Case Management Software for organizing and managing legal cases. • Knowledge of CompuLaw, a legal calendar and matter management software. • Ability to handle Billing Functions such as invoice processing, payment tracking, and financial reporting. • Experience with Calendar Management including scheduling meetings, setting reminders, and coordinating events. • Skills in Claim Administration including claim processing, documentation, and follow-ups. • Ability to maintain strong Client Relations, providing excellent service and handling client queries. • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
