Job Description
Provide administrative support to real estate and legal professionals by tracking jurisdictional deadlines, processing legal documentation in a timely manner, and updating a proprietary database to enhance organizational visibility.
ResponsibilitiesProcess mail, determine case unique identifiers, and manage the funnel process for case statuses such as denials and appeals.Serve as a liaison between the Legal, Real Estate, and Appeal Management teams to ensure timely communication of sensitive matters.Organize and track internal documents from multiple jurisdictions for important transactions or cases, including filing appeals and receiving decision notices.Update the proprietary appeal management system with important dates, values, and other transaction data.Compile, organize, and distribute documents and data as directed by real estate analysts.File appeals and other documents to various jurisdictions and state courts in both electronic (eFiling) and physical formats.Coordinate and track responses to discovery requests, evidentiary exchanges, and other court deadlines.Research and retrieve electronic documents from various court and agency websites.Conduct routine audits of documents.Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars for court deadlines.Coordinate and track FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests and responses.Essential SkillsAdministrative supportData entryLegal administrative tasksFilingParalegal skillsHandling legal documentsProficiency in MS Office SuiteLitigation supportHandling legal contractsLegal administrationReal estate lawUnderstanding of legal terminologyIntermediate Excel skillsBasic Adobe functions (merging files, uploading data, and transferring into PDF)Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from ABA approved program or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies5+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsPractical knowledge and technical skills with computer applications and software, including Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office SoftwareGood understanding of legal documents and experience in drafting legal correspondence and documentsExperience in updating information contained in databases and paper file management systemsAbility to work in a high volume, deadline driven environment across multiple jurisdictions within the USExperience working with time sensitive documentsWork Environment

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
