Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in BEDFORD, Ohio, 44146, United States. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks, including drafting legal documents, managing communications and maintaining schedules. You will also be expected to handle administrative duties and oversee property management tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately draft and prepare legal documents and letters
• Manage and maintain communications with residents and external realtors
• Track and monitor rent rolls and other property-related issues
• Coordinate and oversee work orders for owned condos
• Assist with the process of Reasonable Accommodations, including checking emails and ensuring all required documentation is provided
• Maintain the Reasonable Accommodations calendar and set reminders for physician/medical letters
• Work alongside managers to understand the process of non-monetary and monetary evictions
• Dispatch Lease Violation and Rent delinquency notices
• Scan and forward collection documents and renters’ insurance notices
• Provide backup for Executive Assistants and reception duties as needed
• Handle daily and monthly tasks assigned by General Counsel.
Requirements • Proficiency in Case Management Software to ensure efficient tracking and handling of legal cases.
• Strong briefing skills to effectively communicate case details and updates to lawyers and clients.
• Capable of Calendar Management, ensuring all appointments, court dates, and deadlines are organized and met.
• Excellent Client Relations skills to maintain strong, detail oriented relationships with all clients.
• Experience in providing Administrative Assistance to lawyers, including handling correspondence and filing documents.
• Knowledge of Administrative Law to assist in the preparation and understanding of legal documents and procedures.
• Familiarity with Administrative Office tasks, such as scheduling, answering phone calls, and maintaining office organization.
• Ability to engage with the Community, representing the firm in a positive light and building beneficial relationships.
• Experience in Residential Property Management law, including the ability to understand and draft related legal documents.
• Proficiency in ParaLegals tasks, including research, drafting documents, and preparing for trials.
• Ability to Draft Legal Documents accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary details and legal jargon are included. TalentMatch®
