Position Overview

The Legal Business Management, Business Lead reports to the Chief of Staff and Senior Associate General to lead the development and execution of programs supporting the Legal Division’s communications, workforce development, and employee engagement strategies. They will work closely with Division leadership and establish relationships throughout the organization.

The department of the Chief of Staff leads highly visible initiatives of the General Counsel and manages the Division’s strategic planning and people planning and performance management.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be an integral member of a successful team of legal professionals in a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities include:

Develop and lead the communication strategy for the Division, including the development of a communications framework that aligns with and advances the Division’s strategic goals and priorities.Create and publish engaging content for newsletters, the Division portal, Homefront, white papers, and speaking engagements, among others.Produce Division town halls and similar events, including developing and managing the run-of-show and supervising logistical event support.Develop and lead the employee engagement strategy for the Division, and design, promote and facilitate employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building events and working groups, to sustain and enhance the employee value proposition within the Legal Division.Collaborate with Legal Operations on scorecards and performance metrics to track progress toward the Legal Division’s strategic goals, and the Enterprise and FHFA scorecards, communicating regular updates to Division leadership and employees throughout the year.Serve as the primary point of contact for the Enterprise Learning and Development team with respect to operationalizing Enterprise strategy within the Division.Qualification:15+ years operations experience8+ years operations management experience in a corporate legal division or law firm setting (preferred).College Degree or equivalent experience; JD and/or MBA preferred.Keys to Success in this Role:"Keep it simple," understanding that not all processes/projects can be perfectly planned/implemented initially. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $114,000 - $172,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
