Job Responsibilities

Legal Function

Handle all legal affairs and manage legal risks of the Region with an emphasis on the review of offers and contracts Handle corporate matters for all Bureau Veritas legal entities within the Region Provide legal support for M&A and Joint-Ventures within the Region Handle litigation matters with the support of external lawyers when required and management of insurances matters in coordination with the Group Risk and Insurance Department Assist with debt collection matters

Compliance Function

Coordinate with group compliance teams to align compliance objectives, processes, and goals, ensuring consistent practices across the organization Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, audits, and investigation Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of integrity, compliance, and transparency throughout the organization Ensure compliance with regulations related to privacy and trade compliance (international sanctions & export control)

 

Minimum Requirements

Masters/Bachelors in Law At least 5 years of relevant experience within an international legal department; Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to evolve in an international and challenging environment Ability to handle several tasks with pragmatism and reactivity; Strong team spirit Fluent in English and Arabic and know how to negotiate and draft contracts in both languages;
