A leading global shipping company is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their Dubai office, with a key focus on the dry bulk shipping sector. This role involves handling complex legal matters across international operations, offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for those with significant expertise in dry bulk shipping law.  

  
Key Responsibilities:

Vessel Transactions: Manage legal aspects of vessel sales and purchases, including contract negotiations and registrations. Financing: Assist with vessel financing arrangements, working alongside the CFO on loans and charter financing deals. Corporate Governance: Handle company secretarial duties across various jurisdictions, focusing on corporate compliance and governance. Commercial Contracts: Provide legal counsel on a range of agreements, from confidentiality to joint ventures and acquisitions. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and assist with economic compliance reporting. Employment & Property: Offer legal guidance on employment matters and oversee property-related transactions, including leases.

Requirements:

Qualified as an English Solicitor. A minimum of 6 years PQE. Proven experience in dry bulk shipping is essential. Strong corporate and commercial law background. Ability to travel internationally, including to the EU.

Additional Skills:

Excellent negotiation and drafting skills. Experience working in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Willingness to travel as required.
