Job DescriptionImplementing brand protection programs in specific jurisdictions (mainly in APAC) within the construct of the global company strategyManaging enforcement activity including cease and desist letters, notice and takedown requests, commercial correspondence, negotiating settlements and raids, experience in criminal and civil litigations will be a plusOverseeing investigations including advising on strategy, drafting documents, interviewing internal witnesses and experts, compiling and presenting data, and authenticating productsConducting factual research of infringing activity, including orchestrating test buys, identifying illicit behavior, identifying counterfeit products, and performing or coordinating further product testing and analysisCollecting and preserving evidence of wrongdoing to maintain availability of all enforcement optionsPartnering with internal and external teams to identify new targets and fraudulent activities globallyCollaborating with external partners such as customs, state and federal law enforcement agencies and managing outside counselMaintaining and ensuring ethical standards and professional conduct of internal and external investigationsUsing internal and external digital tools to effectively manage cases, report results, and measure return on brand protection and enforcement activity

QualificationsLL.B. from a reputable law school; additional overseas education preferred2-4 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department; licensed to practice law with admission to local barProficient and capable of business communication in Mandarin and EnglishExperience in an intellectual property practice with a focus on trademark law and experience in brand enforcement a plusExperience handling external investigations and litigation a plusExperience working in or with technology companies or in the technology industry a plusInterest in working with technology products, learning about technology and keeping up-to-date with brand protection tools and technologyInterest in learning about the laws of foreign jurisdictions, willingness to travel and to be flexible with respect to taking calls with team members in other time zonesStrong attention to accuracy, quality, details, and strong analytical skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsHas a customer service focus and works collaboratively with internal partnersAttentively listens to others and encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinionsProvides timely and helpful information to others across the organizationInstills trust and develops/maintains good working relationships with internal partners and/or external contacts and counsel
