THE ROLEThe legal department at AllSaints is a fast paced, fun and creative environment. Made up of a small team who are meticulous in their approach to supporting the business. The team is responsible for providing legal, company secretarial and risk management support and expertise across all areas of AllSaints globally.
This role will suit a highly motivated, commercially astute lawyer with a positive and enthusiastic attitude who will thrive in an environment that’s fun, supportive and challenging . You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad global remit and will collaborate with different colleagues across the business on exciting new initiatives.
ABOUT THE TEAMReporting into the global head of legal, you will work as part of a small in-house legal team based in our East London offices.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?Supporting the Global Head of Legal and legal team in providing sound, effective legal advice to the businessDrafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of domestic and international commercial contracts - with a focus on agreements for marketing, licensing, wholesale, e-commerce, SaaS, digital and technology projectsAssisting in the preparation and updating of contract templates, updating and maintaining contract databases and files for your projects and providing related training to stakeholders across the businessAdvising on global data protection and GDPR related matters (including, where relevant, working with our external DPO team and law firms)Working with your colleagues in the legal team and our internal stakeholders to ensure our policies and terms and conditions are kept up to dateSupporting our ESG team on new and exciting initiativesMonitor, assess and highlight legal risks to the business in relation to contracts and keeping the team updated (including monitoring new legislation and/or case law)Assisting with general compliance and good governanceSupporting the legal team to be a high performing team and achieving its goals to drive the business forward WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?Solicitor qualified to practise in England and Wales ideally with around 3-4 years PQEExperience in a top tier law firm and/or excellent in-house team in the fashion / retail sectorBroad commercial experience relevant to AllSaints’ business and the wide range of work covered by the legal teamStrong, demonstrable legal drafting and negotiating skillsThe ability to:work at pace, with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills which enable you to manage deadlines and the varied workload of the legal teambuild effective professional relationships across the businesswork collaboratively in a small but dynamic teamprovide clear, strategic legal advice, balancing pragmatism with risk assessment to drive informed business decisionsExcellent communications skills and the ability to translate complex legal issues into concise, clear and user-friendly advice and documents ABOUT THE LOCATION
