Legal/Integrity Specialist
Your role and responsibilitiesAs Legal Counsel at ABB, you would have the opportunity to provide strategic counsel and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. This person needs to be able to effectively manage legal risks and fosters a culture of integrity across the organization. Largely focusing on our Electrification Business Area and providing support for complex contract negotiations and agreements, ABB is searching for a respected legal advisor, change agent, and partner to our business leaders.The work model for the role is remote (#LI-Remote).You will be mainly accountable for:- Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and overseeing contract management.- Monitoring legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupying a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.- Manage a high volume of terms and conditions and non-disclosure agreement negotiations acrossABB Electrification divisions including sales of goods to federal government- Supporting in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
Qualifications for the roleJuris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in a State Bar, 6 + years of experience in the practice of law, and 5+ years of general corporate legal experience in-house or at a law firm.Expertise in commercial law with proven track record in complex contractual work.Experience with negotiation of complex sales and procurement contracts.Experience with sales to federal government and knowledge of FAR/DFAR a plus. Sound legal judgment in developing and implementing legal solutions.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.Comprehensive understanding of complex contractual legal matters.The ability to be recognized as an independent and respected legal advisor, and ability to work in a complex, matrixed structure where cooperation is often gained through influence rather than throughdirect command.Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze regulatory and business information, assess risk and provide resolutions or recommendations for process improvement.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
