In this role, you will join our dynamic legal team at our Rotterdam headquarters, working directly under the guidance of the Senior Legal Counsel for Europe. Legal Counsel Europe 

 

The position 

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advising and supporting our procurement and sales department in Rotterdam and our European business units. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across the organization, providing essential legal insights and guidance. Key responsibilities include: 

Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a diverse range of commercial agreements and legal documents for our European operations. 

Advising the business on various legal issues and general contracting matters. 

Delivering training and guidance to enhance legal awareness within the organization. 

  

This role is a unique opportunity to apply your legal expertise to guide and empower the business in making well-informed decisions. You’ll engage with local business teams, build strong relationships, and provide commercially balanced legal advice to support strategic objectives. Your work will span both procurement and sales transactions, allowing you to gain cross-functional exposure and make a significant impact across all Refresco business units. 

  

About you: 

We’re looking for a driven, proactive Legal Counsel with the following qualifications and attributes: At least 5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or within a law firm. Solid knowledge of general contract law is essential, and knowledge of corporate law is preferred. You consistently communicating transparently and take accountability for your actions.  You break down complex legal information into clear, straightforward language, ensuring clarity and understanding. You are eager to learn and thrive when faced with challenges, adapting quickly to fast-paced and dynamic environments. You balance interpersonal skills with subject expertise, connecting effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders as a team player. Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written. You can manage multiple demands, focusing on what’s important without losing sight of the details. You bring a positive attitude and are enjoyable to work with, contributing to a supportive team culture.
