Description
Robert Investigative Research is currently seeking a qualified Investigative Researcher for a position focusing on corporate due diligence and litigation research. This role involves the investigation and analysis of corporations, individuals, and other entities involved in litigation or business transactions. Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently, produce high-quality research reports, and have a firm understanding of financial and legal terms.
Start Date: February 2025
Pay: $30+ hour
Location: Remote
Hours: Part-time (could evolve into full-time)
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct research on entities for due diligence and litigation purposes
+ Create concise summaries of complex financial transactions and civil litigation
+ Conduct interviews with clients and/or witnesses over video or phone when needed
+ Perform light administrative duties and participate in weekly meetings
+ Comply with confidentiality and non-compete agreements
Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 2+ years of experience in Investigative/Legal Research
+ Expertise in online public records research (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw, TLO, PACER)
+ Experience with internet research (news articles, deep web searches, Boolean queries)
+ Understanding of public records laws and their relevance to investigations
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Ability to manage several cases/projects simultaneously
Preferred Skills:
+ Open-source intelligence research skills
+ Multi-lingual capabilities
+ Experience with law firm or risk consulting business
Requirements • Possession of skills in Litigation Support.
• Proficiency in using Nexis for legal research.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information related to legal cases.
• Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in conducting interviews to gather information.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive reports.
• A degree in law, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
