Legal Operations Specialist – Austin, Texas Hybrid

We have an exciting opportunity in our in-house legal department. If you're a Paralegal or looking to get into legal operations and you like variety, we have the opportunity for you on our energetic Legal Operations team! Legal Operations is a multi-disciplinary function on the modernization of business operations for global in-house legal departments. This position is hybrid in our Austin, Texas office and will report to our Senior Legal Operations Specialist.

The Legal Operations team is involved in nearly everything the global legal department does, except for the practice of law. Our team enables each of the legal practice areas by ensuring cross-functional alignment, delivering business intelligence, financial management, and processes and systems in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

This candidate will perform traditional business analyst functions across the practice of law and will have the opportunity to participate in transformative projects. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

Analyze financial data and other data to create actionable metrics, dashboards, and reports Project/program management support of generative AI internal tool development and other technology implementation    Assist with recordkeeping around metrics, measures and other disclosures related to departmental activities, including carbon emissions Learn and manage E-Billing, firm relationship building and enforcement of billing terms Identify department pain-points and efficiency opportunities Ad-hoc projects and general organizational support for Legal Operations and other practice groups such as IP, Commercial Contracts, LMS, and HR, and Litigation

Successfully interact with all levels of management and outside counsel Ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects Exceptionally detail oriented and able to work with light guidance Able to understand and interpret end-to-end business processes Technology adept to enable and automate business processes Enjoys problem solving and is not deterred by initial obstacles Expert in using the MS Office suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint to present complicated information

Role Essentials

2-3 years directly applicable work experience in a similar role BA or BS degree Corporate legal department/finance department or law firm experience is a plus
