As the Legal Process Coordinator in the Office of General Counsel, you will provide administrative legal research, consultative and litigation support to the Office of General Counsel (OGC) and MDE leadership. Duties will include:
+ Oversee and make recommendations to all processes associated with data management practices, including litigation holds and data requests
+ Oversee SharePoint workflows and technical development
+ Process Data Requests
+ Review and analyze complex data and legal issues
+ Conduct legal research
+ Draft legal documents for attorney review

3 years of professional experience
OR
A bachelor's or master's degree and 2 years of professional experience
Experience must include the following demonstrated skills, abilities and knowledge bases:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills, and an ability to identify and address priorities
+ Customer service skills sufficient to provide professional, prompt, courteous and accurate information to internal and external customers in person, on the phone and through written correspondence
+ Ability to handle a large volume of work while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
+ Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner
+ Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge and experience with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act
+ Experience and proficiency with legal management software (e.g. Relativity, Everlaw)
+ Demonstrated experience building and maintaining good working relationships
+ Knowledge of legal terminology, legal document formatting, and proper citation formats
