About the Role

As a Legal Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for the legal market. You will use your expertise in the legal domain, and that of the experts in your team, to drive insights and recommendations to the business that are critical to creating the best features and products for our customers.

About the Data Discovery and Enrichment team

Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts are subject matter experts in the legal domain, playing a key role in leading the transformation of legal technology. They partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to create cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions with legal data.

Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts provide annotation, evaluation, and feedback to their partners which are critical to the development of these solutions. Responsibilities

Draft initial prompt sets for testing roundsConduct detailed reviews of AI tool outputs, rate responses, and provide detailed feedback to the data science team for incremental improvements.Provide annotation, evaluation, and feedback to data scientists, data engineers, and product managers.Execute best practices in creating and maintaining training data and relevance evaluations.Review customer feedback and provide responses for customer facing teamsTrack and consolidate insights from testing for content teams

Requirements

Have a Law degree (Australia or New Zealand)Have some professional legal experience (recommended)Be competent in legal research and writingComputer skills in Microsoft Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointBe competent in legal research and writingBe a natural problem solverHave a customer-centric mindsetBe able to collaborate with your team, and other teams, to advance projectsHave basic knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing technologiesBe proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar programs
