Legal Support II
Description We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Legal Support II role based in Hanover, Maryland. This role primarily involves providing administrative assistance and managing contract processes within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, coordinating contract approvals, maintaining internal resources, and providing general administrative support. Key responsibilities: • Coordinating contract approvals, signatures, and filing to ensure the smooth operation of the legal team. • Creating and maintaining internal legal and business-facing guidance and training resources. • Effectively utilizing and managing software systems and tools used by the Legal Department. • Teaching team members and business users on how to effectively use department-specific tools. • Identifying and implementing strategies to improve and simplify legal and business team processes. • Providing general administrative support, such as calendar management and coordinating events. • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of presentations and training sessions. • Acting as a primary point of contact for the team across a range of issues. • Drafting, negotiating, and analyzing standard form contracts as required. • Managing high volumes of tasks and projects independently, reacting appropriately and promptly to urgent situations. Requirements • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for drafting and editing documents. • Experience in contract management and understanding of administrative law. • Ability to conduct training and teaching sessions. • Excellent communication skills for effective presentations and negotiations. • Experience in administrative assistance, including calendar management and filing. • Proven ability in coordinating events and general coordination tasks. • Experience in the implementation of legal processes and procedures. • Familiarity with business user interactions and contract negotiations. • Proficiency in Go and React will be considered a plus. • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a legal support capacity.
