Legal Talent Acquisition Assistant

Summary     

In collaboration with and in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives, this position will work closely with the talent acquisition team to provide the needed clerical and administrative support on recruitment activities.    

Location 

This position can sit in our New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, or Washington DC office and offers a hybrid work schedule. 

Responsibilities   

Processes incoming resumes, entering into database(s), proofreading, copying, mailing, and maintaining files on and off site.

Creates and sends status letters and emails to candidates.

Processes all incoming correspondence for the department.

Maintains files for summer, fall and lateral candidates. Tracks all lateral searches for job file and keeps Director/Manager and Partners informed of search status.

Assists with scheduling all candidate interviews, in-house schedules, collection of evaluation, and runs reports as required.

Creates interview calendar and updates contact lists for summer and fall associates.

Designs invitations and announcements for the department.

Inputs bios and photos for online summer director, assists with proofreading.

Drafts letters and memos as needed.

Maintains list of all off site files. Retrieves files as necessary for completion of Bar Character forms or interviews by government agencies.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education    

High School Diploma

  

Minimum Years of Experience   

Up to one year of experience working in an administrative support role, supporting the full recruitment and selection cycle. Working knowledge in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with an ATS database (such as Taleo) preferred.

Physical Demands    

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Hybrid - Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home

Pay Transparency

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $26.56 - $35.40 per hour depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and paid overtime in accordance with applicable laws.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
