Legal Technical Analyst

This role serves as technical support for e-discovery, records management and other legal applications. This position serves as a liaison with Charter IT and external vendors to resolve technical issues related to the Legal Department systems.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides day-to-day technical support for all applications used by the e-discovery and records management teamsWorks with various internal technology groups to obtain access to homeshares, groupshares, SharePoint and data repositories in order to perform collections for the purposes of e-discovery and records identificationAccurately identify application issues, investigate options and propose solutions to meet the business needsMaintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the Legal applicationsServes as liaison between internal/external vendors and Legal DepartmentBuilds and maintains positive relationships with the external vendors and monitor vendor performance to ensure proper functioning of all legal applicationsCommunicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishDemonstrated communication skills (written and verbal); can interact with individuals at all levelsAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated technical skills for troubleshooting application issuesDemonstrated analytical and creative ability to identify application issues and propose solutionsDemonstrated technical competence; advanced PC skills utilizing a variety of software applicationsUnderstanding of Electronic Discovery (ED) or Litigation Support applicationsMust be detail orientedDemonstrated troubleshooting skills for solving/diagnosing application issues

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is preferred
