Legends Restaurant Utility Supervisor, TD Garden

The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a part-time Utility Supervisor to join our Legends Restaurant team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Utility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the dishwashing team, including both regular employees and temporary support staff, to ensure efficient operation across all kitchens. This role ensures that all kitchens are properly stocked with hand soap, sink setups, and sanitizing solutions while maintaining the organization and storage of all dishware, flatware, and glassware. Additionally, the Utility Supervisor will oversee the collection and distribution of recyclable food waste for composting, support the scheduling of all dishwashers, manage the ordering and distribution of cleaning chemicals, and oversee opening and closing duties for all kitchens.

Pay

$23.00 – $23.00 / hour

What will you do? Supervise and coordinate the dishwashing team, ensuring timely and efficient cleaning of all kitchenware. Train and oversee utility staff, including temporary workers, on proper dishwashing and sanitation procedures. Support scheduling of all dishwashers to ensure proper coverage across shifts. Order and distribute cleaning chemicals for all kitchens, ensuring proper inventory levels. Ensure all kitchens are stocked with hand soap, sinks are properly set up, and sanitizing solutions are available and maintained. Manage the storage and organization of all plates, china, flatware, and glassware to ensure accessibility and proper handling. Oversee the collection, separation, and distribution of recyclable food waste for composting. Oversee opening duties each day, ensuring all kitchens are properly set up for service. Ensure all closing duties are completed for each kitchen, including proper breakdown, cleaning, and securing of all dishwashing   Monitor and enforce health and safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations. Work closely with culinary leadership to support kitchen operations and address any utility-related needs. Maintain and track inventory of cleaning supplies, reporting needs for restocking as necessary.

More about you Previous experience in a utility, dishwashing, or kitchen operations supervisory role preferred. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to oversee multiple kitchens. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and composting best practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical requirements Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift. Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 70 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storerooms and freezers. Frequent reaching, twisting at the waist, bending, and squatting. Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms. Hazards include but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds, burns, slipping and tripping, eand xposure to and contact with chemical cleaning agents. Ability to withstand temperatures in a hot and damp kitchen environment.
