Lending and Trade Services Business Operations and Engagement Lead
LTS Business Operations and Engagement Lead The Business Operations and Engagement Lead role is responsible for supporting the department's business operations and engagement initiatives. The Lending and Trade Services department executes a significant number of transactions across critical processes within the commercial lending lifecycle to support complex and varied commercial loan structures. This role involves managing multiple strategies and tactics to achieve the vision for the department, executing a comprehensive business partner engagement model, leading strategic planning activities, managing delivery accountability, developing and managing department-level communication plans, managing large to complex intra-department initiatives, leading financial and resource management activities, and providing overall support for senior and executive-level communications, reporting, deliverable coordination, and problem resolution. This role will manage strategic initiatives, provide oversight and governance of multi-year strategic roadmaps, manage budget and headcount forecasting and reconciliation, lead monthly and quarterly business engagement reviews, and support cross-functional teams to achieve department goals and drive operational maturity. The Business Operations and Engagement Lead will collaborate with senior and executive leaders to drive organizational transformation, establish, and manage departmental cadences, routines, and strategic governance, improve stakeholder and business partner engagement and collaboration, and ensure alignment with established budgets and forecasts. This role provides strategic leadership, accountability oversight, and initiative management across multiple horizontal functions throughout the department and the broader organization as required. This role demands a strategic and tactical leader with a strong background in governance, program management, financial management, service management, strategic planning, initiative delivery, business analysis, and operations performance management. This lead role will report directly to the Business Operations and Change Management Director and will lead initiatives and activities focused on managing the organization's business operations, strategic planning and governance, financial and resource management, business partner engagement, communication planning, and delivery to improve operational maturity and maintain operational excellence. Position Responsibilities: Governance and Initiative Management * Facilitate accountability frameworks for department strategy, including oversight for all initiatives across strategic roadmaps, ensuring that all projects are aligned with the department's strategic goals and enabled for successful delivery. * Provide awareness of the connection points and constraints for the delivery and execution of aligned projects/initiatives, helping in identifying potential bottlenecks and dependencies, ensuring smoother project delivery. * Manage conflicting projects/initiatives, environments, and team members, and recommend appropriate sequencing/mitigation plans to minimize project/initiative delays and conflicts, leading to more timely and successful initiative completions. * Support strategic direction and oversight for applicable governance-related activities within the department, ensuring that all governance activities are aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Implement and maintain effective status and initiative reporting for insights and analysis into strategic performance and delivery. * Interact with senior and executive leadership (COO, EVP, SVP, etc.) on a regular basis for initiative status communication, financial updates, risk mitigation plans, etc. * Mentor initiative leaders on delivery management and encourage skill development for initiative team members. Financial and Resource Management * Manage department and administration financials, including budget and forecast management, headcount reconciliation, staffing reviews, cost studies, driver allocations, and financial reporting to ensure that all financial activities are well-managed and aligned with the department's financial goals. * Monitor financial performance and variance tracking to drive accountability and operational efficiencies, ensuring that all financial activities are efficient and aligned with the department's financial goals. * Collaborate with Finance and applicable project and department leaders to ensure project actuals and forecasts are accurately reconciled and aligned, ensuring that all financial activities are accurate and aligned with the department's financial goals. * Implement and maintain effective reporting through forward-thinking analytics, providing valuable insights into financial performance, enabling better decision-making and performance improvements. Communications Management * Develop executive-level communications and presentations tailored to the audience to ensure that all communications are effective and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Manage the department's communication plan, including delivery across all channels and forums forums (e.g. monthly department communications, monthly expanded leadership team meetings, quarterly town halls, etc.) to ensure that all communications are well-coordinated and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Develop project plans and timelines, select appropriate media, and craft communication strategies to ensure that all communications are effective and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Establish communication standards for key channels to ensure that all communications are consistent and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Lead and/or support programs to address colleague feedback from engagement surveys and other readiness activities to ensure that all feedback is addressed and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure team members take ownership of the relevant tasks and expectations for communication delivery. Operations Management * Support daily business operations within the department, enabling operational excellence and continued maturity aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Assist with overall department strategies and tactics to ensure work is identified, prioritized, and executed effectively. * Create and/or support executive-ready presentations, including synthesizing information and developing audience-specific content to ensure that all presentations are effective and aligned with the department's strategic goals. Strategic Planning and Delivery Management * Collaborate with senior and executive leaders to drive organizational transformation, ensuring that the department is continuously evolving and improving to enhance operational performance. * Establish and manage departmental cadences, routines, and strategic governance to ensure that all departmental activities are well-coordinated and aligned with strategic goals. * Ensure alignment with established budgets and forecasts to ensure that all projects and initiatives are financially viable and aligned with the department's financial goals. * Provide strategic leadership, accountability oversight, and initiative management across multiple horizontal functions to ensure that all functions are aligned with the department's strategic goals, leading to more effective and efficient operations and delivery. Business Relationship and Engagement Management * Improve stakeholder and business partner engagement and collaboration, leading to stronger relationships and better collaboration, resulting in more successful projects, initiatives and satisfaction. * Act as a strategic business partner, collaborating with senior leaders to understand business priorities and provide operational solutions. * Build critical alliances with key business partners and effectively interact with key constituents. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure that all relationships are strong and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Lead the communication strategy and messaging to educate and inform key stakeholders on department activities and outcomes to ensure that all communications are effective and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Establish a structured method to collect and analyze business partner satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement to ensure that all feedback is addressed and aligned with the department's strategic goals. * Schedule and facilitate internal business reviews and internal cadences with stakeholders to ensure that all reviews and cadences are well-coordinated and aligned with the department's strategic goals.
