PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $27.40-$33.46 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.25-$39.57 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Guide the Lending Process: You’ll facilitate the entire loan application process, reviewing requests, and ensuring everything aligns with our policies and procedures to support business members effectively.Evaluate Loan Applications: Assess, approve, counteroffer, or deny loan requests within your lending limits, using automated scoring guidelines to make informed decisions.Ensure Accuracy: Verify the completeness and accuracy of loan applications and supporting documents, ensuring everything is in order upon receipt.Close Loans Smoothly: Clear any stipulations, arrange necessary documentation, and board approved credits to ensure a seamless loan closing experience.Communicate with Members: Discuss loan decisions in detail with business members, providing clarity and support throughout the process.Leverage Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of BECU's loan policies, state and federal regulations, and our lending systems to serve our members better.Deliver Exceptional Service: Ensure all members receive prompt, courteous, and professional service, resolving any issues swiftly and effectively.Drive Process Improvement: Recommend and initiate changes to enhance Business Services lending processes, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.Collaborate on Projects: Participate in project teams focused on developing new products and services for our business members.Strengthen Relationships: Conduct outreach calls to business members, fostering strong relationships and understanding their needs.Prepare Reports: Maintain, monitor, and prepare required reports, providing additional statistical information as needed.Support Team Needs: Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals and member needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Business, Finance, or Economics or equivalent work or education-related experience.Minimum 3 years of lending experience in financial institutions or credit departments. Experience in a business lending environment preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of business credit policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.Proficient mathematical ability.Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language.Ability to research and compile information for loan purposes accurately and efficiently.Effective negotiation skills required.
