Responsibilities:

Perform inspection activities by collecting data. Communicating and providing feedback to plant. Entering collected data into an electronic file or database. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas (5s). Preparing gauges by identifying, setting and issuing for shop floor use. Calibrating gauges per instructions and standards. Maintaining gauge control database of calibrations records (internal and external). Ordering new gauges (replacements and new technology). Repairing gauges (internal and send to sub-contractor for repair).

 

 Qualifications:

Per 8 hours shift (stand 5 hours, sit 2 hours, and walk 1hour) occasionally bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance and push or pull objects, frequent lifting and carrying (frequently 0- 10lbs and occasionally 11-50lbs). Must be able to hear, have good vision, distinguish colors, simple and fine grasping with both hands, must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to coolants, lubricants, dust, adhesives, solvents, oils and weld flash. Knowledge of gauging and inspection equipment; ability to read and understand blueprints; basic math skills; communicate (verbal and written) effectively with other people; learn and understand work instructions; retain knowledge; basic understanding of computer work stations.
