An excellent opportunity exists within the Naval Power estimating organization as a proposal analyst.  The estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts.  In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer. 

What You Will Do

Support the development and analysis of proposalsWork with other functions from across the company to understand the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contractsUtilize company estimating and pricing programs and toolsDevelop Request for Estimates which are used to kick off proposalsProvide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and assessing the estimating approachPrepare Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experienceExperience with Microsoft Office productsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Strong organization and analytical skillsThe ability to work well in teamsOral and written communication skillsAbility to produce and modify Microsoft PowerPoint presentationsExperience meeting deadlines and working in a schedule driven environmentIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and Look Up functions, is desired but not required.Experience in a financial setting working with numbers, data sets, or computations.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
