An excellent opportunity exists within the Material Estimating Organization as a Proposal Analyst.  The estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts.  In addition, the Estimating Organization supports gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer. 

This position is an onsite role for the Tucson location and will require working classified efforts.

What You Will Do

Be responsible for the development, analysis and completion of material proposalsWork with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated programUtilize company estimating and pricing programs and toolsLead the development of Material Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, validating and analyzing supplier quotes and Purchase Order History, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is soundEnsure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirementsAssess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough material package Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our material estimates

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experienceExperience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
