Summary 

 

As a Trainer your role is to provide continuous improvement of program personnel skill and acumen. The Trainer equips our new and existing employees with the requisite knowledge, skills, techniques, and motivation to perform at the highest level. Our Trainer is a teacher and must be able to virtually lead groups, develop training materials for both internal and external teams, and collaborate closely with business leaders to assess employees’ increased performance improvement. The Trainer must assess skills and knowledge within MarketSource to determine the curriculum required to strengthen and retain these skills.  

 

Essential Job Functions: 

 

Conduct instructor-led and virtual training, including: 

Sales training 

Leadership and professional development classes 

New employee orientation 

Train-the-trainer sessions 

Identify, design and customize training activities to incorporate into training for the specific class and learner needs 

Leverage multi-media solutions to enhance learning experiences 

Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to perform needs analysis and identify skill and knowledge gaps 

Perform administrative tasks such as planning the training calendar, scheduling training events, and sending training feedback surveys 

Communicate frequently and effectively with leadership and various project stakeholders to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables 

Collaborate with all members of the Learning & Development Team as needed. 

Perform other duties as needed 

 

 

 

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills 

Excellent presentation and organizational skills  

Knowledgeable in interactive training, assessments, and evaluation Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional team members 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)  

Knowledge of adult learning principles 

Open to receiving and giving feedback 

Possess a growth mindset 

High energy 

Proficient in Video Editing and Document creation software 

Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud 

 

Job Requirements: 

 

BA/BS degree in a related field 

2-4 years of direct in-classroom training experience  

ATD Training Certificate a plus 

Experience facilitating Franklin Covey classes a plus 

Prior experience facilitating blended learning and/or flipped classrooms a plus 

Ability to work in-person and virtually 

Ability to travel (up to 25% of the time) 

Video editing experience preferred.
