Position Overview: The LGBTQ+ Youth coordinator is responsible for leading and facilitating the activities of the Gender and Sexual-orientation Alliance group, promoting a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ youth. This role involves providing support, organizing events, and fostering dialogue about gender and sexuality issues in partnership with our LGBTQ+ Committee. Individual will raise awareness and educate stakeholders on the risks, needs and issues of LGBTQ+ youth and LGBTQ+ affirming
Position Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/GED required.Experience: Experience working with youth, particularly in LGBTQ+ advocacy or support settings.Skills: Knowledge of LGBTQ+ resources. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills, cultural humility, and the ability to handle sensitive topics with care. Proficient in Microsoft suite, particularly PowerPoint.
